Nice, clean, clear and easy to read display. The pre-programmed... programs! will suit most folks, but very easy to make your own using a combination of the desktop app with the website. One handy feature, for me, was the ability to lock the screen so i don't accidentally turn off tracking.

The clock as such is very good I would summarize it with. Feels like quality in bracelets, the boo, buttons etc. However, I have lowered the GPS update rate a snap to get more battery life and then the GPS has begun to hide suspiciously. It showed 16 km on a round which usually lasts 19 km now.

Very satisfied with this order, nice watch, easy to operate, perfectly connect with android phones(samsung). The GPS is accurate in outdoor, but not easy to get signal in the room.

I probably would've loved this watch except that it's just too massive. It looks nice but I couldn't stand to wear it. I really want a watch for open water and pool swimming. probably the next best watch for this application is the waterproof apple watch, but it has to be used with an apple phone,...

I am a previous user of Garmin products (Forerunner 210), but made the switch to Suunto based on reviews and value for the money (although almost $600 for this unit is still pricey).

I wanted to buy a watch like the Suunto Ambit 3 for ages and I'm glad I did. I've done full IronMan and Comrades with it and just love everything about it. Get one. .

So I used a Ambit 3 Peak Saphhire HR for this review. The non-saphhire Pea k model is a little tiny bit less durable, and fashionable but otherwise the same. The sport model is the same operating system but is less accurate for altitude.

The Suunto Ambit 3 Run is big, bombproof, and very configurable, and if you're looking for a 'serious' running watch then this should be near the top of the list, along with Garmin and Polar units.
