Street Fighter IV

Street Fighter is known as one of the best, if not THE best, fight game series ever. This 2D fighter made its debut about twenty two years ago but it was its successor Street Fighter II: The World Warrior that went running with all the prizes.

Robust and challenging single-player modes, strong online multiplayer, and gorgeous visuals make this a must-have for any fighter fan.

It's obvious that each iteration of the long-running Street Fighter series has been carefully tuned and tweaked to the finest degree, and nowhere is this more apparent than in Street Fighter IV.

Gorgeous character models; animations; and background art; Comprehensive multiplayer modes; Accessible but nuanced gameplay; Plenty of replay value for completionists

No tournament mode; Online play suffers if either fighter's connection is slow

Street Fighter IV review (PS3)

After a months-long wait, the home conversion of Street Fighter IV finally arrived in stores earlier this month. It's difficult to put into words just how wild my expectations for the game had become by that point. I probably shouldn't even try.
