In Sunset Overdrive the Xbox One has its outstanding exclusive, with the title taking fun/action to an eye-popping level. Here's an experiment: put the developers of wacky, humorous platformers and unrelenting first person shooters in a room, give their creativity all the Red Bull and sugary snacks...

Can become overwhelming after a while

This is one of those games that I didn't take seriously. I thought it didnt take itself seriously enough so it would be too goofy. But honestly, it hits a sweet spot that other games have lost. Just being fun. It really doesn't take itself seriously and that's a good thing.

This is a very colourful game with lots of humour and pleanty of fin to be had. Delivery was very quick which was just what I needed so I could enjoy the game while on holiday. Best of all was that it fits through the letter box so no keeping an eye out for the delivery!!

'Sunset Overdrive's 'Fallen Machines' is good DLC. It's not amazing, but nor is it disappointing like its predecessor. It continues the lovely 'Sunset Overdrive' formula in a rote fashion - workmanlike, but not boring. Definitely worth playing if you already have the season pass.

Super happy to get this in mail. I was not expecting the crude humor but I am delighted that it's there. Also appreciate the tone down the language feature for younger ones. Reminds me of borderlands, crackdown, and saints row.

Pull up a chair, grab an energy drink, and play a game about blasting individuals who did the same.. only difference is, they bought the wrong kind (Even if it does look delicious) If you're heading into this game seeking a gripping, thrilling storyline full of twists and turns, something to grab...

Sunset Overdrive is one of the best games I have ever played. There is never-ending humor, and endless enjoyment. The game play is something new and innovative for a third person shooter and I personally loved it. The movement was fluid and easy, and every gun felt good and powerful against enemies.

T he antithesis of modern, narrative-driven action games, Sunset Overdrive brings some welcome fizz to an often stern, po-faced genre. And appropriately, a new energy drink is to blame, having turned the inhabitants of Sunset City into murderous mutants.

I've finally managed to catch up with one of the Games with Gold offerings released last month, yep I know it's May now, so I had better get my skates on with the review, especially as the freebie runs out in just under a week!
