In their 20th year Insomniac games have released Sunset Overdrive, their first outing on a next gen console, built from the ground up and exclusive to Xbox One. MG reviewer Christopher plays the hero.

Sunset Overdrive has an infectious design that takes longer to reveal itself than expected but nevertheless provides a lot of fast-paced fun. The wonderful visuals, solid voice acting, and playground of a city make for a wild and wacky fast-paced third-person shooter.

Sunset Overdrive is the definition of the word "fun." Insomniac has created something special here. The hilarious plot, unique gameplay, stunning art style and massive, explorable world translate to an unforgettable journey into Insomniac's not-so-serious apocalypse.

'Sunset Overdrive's 'Fallen Machines' is good DLC. It's not amazing, but nor is it disappointing like its predecessor. It continues the lovely 'Sunset Overdrive' formula in a rote fashion - workmanlike, but not boring. Definitely worth playing if you already have the season pass.
