Street Fighter x Tekken Review

It's not the first time that two rival fighting game families have come together in a controversial, unexpected marriage. But when Capcom and SNK ran away together a decade ago, at least the two parties lived on the same side of town: 2D, sprite-based fighters that shared DNA and - in the case of...

Street Fighter X Tekken

Street Fighter X Tekken is the latest game in Capcom's 21st-century fighter renaissance, and it looks set to continue the winning strea...

Large cast of spiffy badasses; Frantic blend of SF; MvC & Tekken; Absurd new combo possibilities

Frequent online lag issues; Single-player boring as usual; DLC mania; no Xbox 360 extras at launch

And that's all you get, really. I have to say the Collector's Edition of Soul Calibur V was better than this. This one could've used a soundtrack or a better artbook or something. Oh well.

Street Fighter X Tekken Review

On the Capcom scale of crossover madness (or is that "X"-over madness), Street Fighter X Tekken lands somewhere between the ridiculousness of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and the technical system of Street Fighter IV .

Solid tag team crossover; Translates Tekken characters extremely well; Fun for casual; still has depth for hardcore; Great for co-op play and parties; Customizable gem system

Lacks some options

Review - Street Fighter X Tekken

From the earliest days of fighting games, there have been people pushing for cross brand mergers in order to find out who really is the best fighter of them all. While this isn't quite the same level as Street Fighter meeting Mortal Kombat would have been, it's nevertheless an intriguing combination...

Street Fighter X Tekken

Quick Take: Jon discovers more Street Fighter than Tekken, some great fighting, and horrible load times.

Street Fighter X Tekken

It's difficult to imagine a time without Capcom's crossover fighting games. The company has been methodically migrating its way closer to claiming the industry's coveted fan-service throne (arguably currently held by Nintendo) for what feels like ages, and doesn't show any sign of letting up in the...

This is still not a perfect design

It's overall great. Just the downsizing really hurt it for me.

Finally a wired ps3 fightpad; Raised d-pad and buttons, better shoulder button response

They shrunk this way too much!!! Not everyone has japan sized hands; This feels so uncomfortable; My hands are practically overlapping; I don't know what they were thinking when they decided to shrink the original controllers.

All things considered though, what you get in Street Fighter X Tekken is enough to keep fighting game fans satisfied for months. Any gamers looking to step into the fighting game arena should also check it out, as it is about as player-friendly as a Capcom fighting game is going to get.

Easy mechanics; all-star cast; multiplayer is fantastic; slick presentation

Appeal is limited; online needs work; gems are a mixed bag
