By Our Powers Combined

looks a lot like one of those Statue of Liberty plays you used to see in movies or sports-centric episodes of after school family programs in the 80's and 90's. You've seen it, the part where the plucky team of underdogs beats the more legitimized team of strictly disciplined players with a...

Street Fighter X Tekken – The PS3 Attitude Review

It has to be said that there have been a lot of Street Fighter games over the years. Actually, including all the reskins and remakes that fans have been treated to recently, we count at least eight Capcom fighters on PlayStation 3 alone.

Review: Street Fighter x Tekken (PS3)

A solid fighting entry from Capcom that could have used a little more time in development to work out a few kinks.

Review: Street Fighter x Tekken (PS3)

Street Fighter x Tekken is, naturally, a mash-up between the Capcom Street Fighter franchise and Namco's Tekken. It's a 2D fighter with an impressive roster of 38 characters just to start with. Another 12 (6 from either franchise) is set to come out in fall on the PS Vita version.

This is a solid fighting game, and I do mean solid. The systems in place are cool, but business, including twelve on disc characters that are locked as DLC, balance, and technical issues make it hard for me to recommend this game to anyone.

All things considered though, what you get in Street Fighter X Tekken is enough to keep fighting game fans satisfied for months. Any gamers looking to step into the fighting game arena should also check it out, as it is about as player-friendly as a Capcom fighting game is going to get.

Easy mechanics; all-star cast; multiplayer is fantastic; slick presentation

Appeal is limited; online needs work; gems are a mixed bag

This is still not a perfect design

It's overall great. Just the downsizing really hurt it for me.

Finally a wired ps3 fightpad; Raised d-pad and buttons, better shoulder button response

They shrunk this way too much!!! Not everyone has japan sized hands; This feels so uncomfortable; My hands are practically overlapping; I don't know what they were thinking when they decided to shrink the original controllers.

Street Fighter X Tekken

It's difficult to imagine a time without Capcom's crossover fighting games. The company has been methodically migrating its way closer to claiming the industry's coveted fan-service throne (arguably currently held by Nintendo) for what feels like ages, and doesn't show any sign of letting up in the...

Street Fighter X Tekken

Quick Take: Jon discovers more Street Fighter than Tekken, some great fighting, and horrible load times.
