The last time I reviewed a SteelSeries headset was back at the end of 2017 and that was the Arctis 3 wireless gaming headset . They turned out to be pretty awesome and a headset that I used for a good while after.

Looking for a wireless gaming headset for Nintendo Switch? Then it isn't difficult to recommend the Arctis 1 Wireless. Despite its dull aesthetic, build quality is both sturdy and flexible.
Wireless use on Switch and other platforms is flawless; Audio is surprisingly punchy and clear for the asking price; Mic is detachable with decent speech quality
Aesthetic is bland and lifeless for the brand; No surround sound
The Arctis 1 Wireless is a comfortable, high-quality headset that’s perfect for your Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Android or PC
Comfortable; Superb audio quality; Great noise-cancelling mic
USB-C transmitter is quite wide; USB-A adapter required for Xbox connection
The Arctis 1 Wireless is a very easy recommendation, easily worth the £99. It’s a simple design with lovely sound, a good microphone and easy to use software. Can’t ask for much more, apart from maybe a Type-C charging port.
20 hours battery life; Comfortable; Simple; elegant design; Lovely sound; Solid build quality
Micro-USB charger; No Bluetooth
Here is our review of the Arctis 1 Wireless Headset from Steelseries.
A headset for all occasions and devices, the SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wireless is ideal for someone who plays games on multiple devices and needs a commute-friendly headset
Comfy during long gaming sessions; Lengthy battery life at 20 hours; SteelSeries Engine on PC is a neat add-on; Compatible with most systems
Stereo audio means it's not great for competitive shooters; Not compatible with newer iPhones
The SteelSeries ARCTIS 1 is a good headset for the price that you pay. The headset feels comfortable enough for long gaming sessions while playing the part of a set of great quality headphones. The build quality is also above average for the price point.
Very Comfortable on head and ears; Lightweight; Good volume with little distortion; Compatible with many different devices; Adapters included; Great drivers
No lighting at all (only for those who wish for lighting)
One headset that works with all your gaming devices is a lot to promise. But, for the most part, the new Arctis 1 Wireless delivers. If you don’t need something for your iPhone or Xbox, it covers all the bases.
Comfy; lightweight design; Connects to anything with a USB-C port; Removable mic boom; Good battery life and range
MicroUSB charging; No Bluetooth wireless; Sound is a bit flat
There are things I’m not fond of with the SteelSeries Arctis 1 wireless gaming headset. The main one is that the sound is slightly more hollow than other options I’ve tried recently. Secondary is that the earcups could be just a tad larger.
Headband will fit your head; big or small; Soft pads on the earcups; Mic is clear sounding and good for voice chat; Compatible with many devices; most wireless; Easy setup considering its versatility; Good price for what you're getting in a headset
Lacking bass compared to other high-end options; Earcups could stand to be a tiny bit bigger
The SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wireless is one of the best wireless gaming headsets on the market, regardless of price....
Great sound Great battery life Comfortable Price
Microphone is just okay Shallow ear cups
