Great price for a not so great game. I bought it because it was on sale and I really like the movies, but this seemed like it was rushed. Didn't get passed the first level before I got annoyed, sorry I don' t have more to say.

This game is great for trek fans. The game really reminds me of Ghostbusters video game. Same linear gameplay with scanning for collectables side quests. Same graphics, trying to look real but not quite there. Same stiff controls that don't seem to work when you really need them to in a bind.
This game is full of action and it makes you think of how do I do this. I like this game because it is not the average go in and shoot everything...You actually have to think to get thru some it.
Initially there was a bug that prevented many of us who bought this game on Steam to play it cooperatively, but after three days, Valve finally released a patch and so now I am updating my review.
When Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto slipped into the shoes of James T. Kirk and Spock, for some it came across as a bit too much. Must Kirk really be such a daredevil all the time? And does Spock constantly have to be so narrow-minded? Their characters just appear terribly flat.
I give my heart out to Digital Extremes for having their shot at the Star Trek games, but this one is not the best game they have released. It feels like the game was rushed out to meet the release of the Summer film and let fans carry on with the Star Trek experience at home.
Authentic soundtrack; True movie cast voices
Buggy AI; No replay value; Button bashing opening doors
Star Trek is one of those games that frequently proves unintentionally hilarious, but mostly from a laugh-or-you-cry perspective. One scene early on sees Kirk downed by a wound to the leg, and I'm forced to crawl about on my behind as I wait for my AI companion -- Mr. Spock -- to come and rescue me.
Strong audio work; good cinematic score; excellent voice acting; It's better with a friend; Bugs can be funny and videoing them with hilarious commentary might lead to YouTube fame..
...Or not; Poor story; Bland gunplay and weapons; Awful AI; Uninspired puzzles; No drop-in; drop-out co-op; Had to restart several times due to bugs
developer Digital Extremes appeared to have taken all of the right steps to swerve the pitfalls of so many licensed video games by telling an original story, while remaining true to the much-revered source material.
I have to say, as a huge fan of the franchise, I so wanted to love this game. Initial promo shots and trailers looked extremely impressive, and gave rise to the hope that finally a decent trek game had arrived on a console. Unfortunately, the game is far less impressive upon playing.
i had high hopes for this game, and it was a big let down,i was bored after 3 levels, very repetitive , graphics hardly changed with the same puzzles also was quite buggy in places, terrible game
