Star Trek: Bridge Crew Review

feels like a promising first draft of a fantastic Trek simulator, but it only goes boldly for a few hours. After the novelty of finally sitting on a beautiful Federation starship bridge wears off and you've exhausted the handful of mission types, all that's left is the goofy physical comedy of...

Star Trek Bridge Crew

Long time members of Family Friendly Gaming know I despise online games. I constantly push for offline game play modes. I have had bad experience after bad experience playing games online. I have experienced hate speech against Christians, profanity, sexism, racism, and more.

Two minutes worth of fun, not much else.

Huge Star Trek fan, but not a fan of this game. There just isn't much "there," there. You can't move, you can't explore the ship. You are tied to a chair where you can push buttons like one of the bridge crew. That's the entire gameplay. If that appeals to you, you may like this game.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew Review – Space Drama With Friends

Virtual reality gaming is still in its infancy, but so far, the impressive technology has been defined by indie offerings. Few major publishers have released one major title, let alone several, for the exciting new devices.

Fun to play with friends and strangers; Choices can matter; Randomized missions

Could use more missions; Enterprise is really difficult to use; Story is forgettable

Fun game. Won't make you sick

Fun game. Won't make you sick. Multiplayer is great and cross platform. The addition of voice recognition through IBM's Watson is super cool.

Too many Kirks.

For better and worse, Star Trek: Bridge Crew is exactly what's advertised--it's a virtual-reality simulation of operating a Federation starship. For the first few moments, the sheer thrill of taking the Captain's chair in VR, looking around you to see crew members all working away at their stations,...

Four distinct and delightfully intricate gameplay roles; Stellar virtual re-creation of the old-school Star Trek bridge; Cross-Play between platforms is a blessing; Online co-op experience can be wonderful with the right crew

Single-player story is woefully lacking in nuance; Shoddy co-op voice communication
