Spider-Man Silver Lining DLC Review – A Silver Finish

Silver Lining doesn't give much of a glimpse of what the gameplay will be because it is still the same as it ever was. Using New York as a jungle gym remains exhilarating and pummeling Hammerhead's goons still thrives off the deep, fluid combat system.

Same smooth Spider-Man gameplay; Cleverly sets up the inevitable sequel; Plenty of smaller; more surprising moments

The city remains to be in its own separate menu; Tags

Wish it had a multiplayer mode

My kids love this game. Only thing missing from it is multiplayer mode but overall this is great for any Spiderman fan.

PlayStation 4 Marvel's Spider-Man MARVEL SPIDERMAN review

This DLC content comes off feeling a little 'more of same.' It doesn't introduce anything terribly new, and feels like it has less content and depth than the first chapter. I'm holding out hope that the third chapter can wrap this up neatly.

Black Cat leaves you hanging - Spider-Man: The Heist review

More than anything, The Heist leaves you begging for more, and I guess that's what the idea was. It's just enough more Spider-Man to get you back into the swing of things, but it leaves you hanging with an abrupt ending and minimal new side content.

More Spider-Man; Cat and Spidey's relationship; That father question

Too short; Minimal new mechanics; No bosses

Marvel's Spider-Man PS4 Review

It has been a number of years, but finally we have a new Spider-Man game, and it's good to have the web slinger back once again. Simply titled Marvel's Spider-Man it may be, although at least the game doesn't take us back to the superhero's over-told origin story.

Marvel's Spider-Man (PS4) Review

There's almost noting to dislike about Marvel's Spider-Man by Insomniac. The game offers a cool, original Spidey universe the somehow manages to make some of the longest-lassoing elements of Spider-Man lore feel fresh. I didn't love all of it, but every bit of it was entertaining and enrapturing.

"Amazing"

So this game came with some lofty expectations and it didn't fail to deliver. From the onset you are put in the shoes of Spidey, being able to swing through a detailed looking Manhattan. The first mission acts almost as a tutorial, so there is no drama about prior learning of the controls.

Game Review: Marvel's Spider-Man

We've seen it time and time again, games that are that over-hyped, they're just destined to fail. However, there are some exceptions to that trend and in recent times those that have lived up to the high expectations have come in the form of a fair few PlayStation 4 exclusives.

Brilliant combat; Great web-slinging mechanics; Visually stunning; Superb voice cast and soundtrack

Stealth is not the games strongest asset

Marvel's Spider-Man (PS4)

There are few kinds of games harder to get right than those based on superhero franchises. The problem stems from the very concept itself.

Swinging feels spot on; Simple yet entertaining combat; Some neat twists and turns

Feels somewhat padded; Drowning in open world tropes; Stealth sections aren't great
