Spider-Man has been one of the most prolific and popular superheroes for Marvel since his inception, and that has spun off into him appearing in dozens of video games. Since the medium became popular, he's been the main character in several of them just in the past 15 years or so.

Hands down, best game I've played so far. There is so many activities and things to do around town which help you level up and unlock awesome custom spidey suits. With fun fighting combat with everyday thugs to Spiderman's ne­misis' like Electro & Scorpion. The main storyline is equipped with lots of ass kicking opportunities, awesome Spiderman humour and jokes, and chances to play as other supporting characters. What really makes this game stand apart is how exhilarating swinging through New York is on Spider Webs and doing stunts through the air. Absolute must get for any Marvel fans. Also a big thank you to Mighty Ape for your extra speedy delivery, you never disappoint!

For the 30 bucks I paid, this game is an absolute steal. Hours of fun to be had just zipping around the city fighting crime and collecting things. To the game's credit, it lets you do this basically as soon as the game begins – no lengthy cut scenes or tutorials, just: “Here; press these buttons and swing around”. We've (my Son and I) barely scratched the surface of the missions themselves, but the game immerses you so well into “being” Spiderman – the suits, the combat, the accessories – that we're enjoying just doing hero stuff. The game flew under my radar a little bit, but I'm glad I saw it pop up on special, really recommend it.

Miles Morales is a top-to-bottom must-play for both fans of the original game and newcomers craving a cinema-rivaling superhero action-adventure. An unbeatable blend of polished gameplay and fantastic storytelling, it perfectly retains and refines what worked so well in the last game, while adding multiple welcome features – and cutting some fat. If you've been anxiously awaiting this next entry since rolling the credits on Spider-Man, want to experience it as a standalone Spidey tale, or just need an excuse to show your friends what the PlayStation 5 is capable of, Miles Morales more than delivers the goods.

Some bugs that temporarily hindered progress

‘With great power, there must also come great responsibility.' It's the mantra that has underpinned the entire Spider-Man ethos. It is a lasting reminder that no one is infallible, regardless of their strengths.

There's almost noting to dislike about Marvel's Spider-Man by Insomniac. The game offers a cool, original Spidey universe the somehow manages to make some of the longest-lassoing elements of Spider-Man lore feel fresh. I didn't love all of it, but every bit of it was entertaining and enrapturing.
