South Park: The Fractured But Whole review – Bigger, Longer & Uncut

No reviews
Verdict: A surprisingly deep and customisable role-player, wrapped in an enjoyable but unremarkable episode of South Park.
Pros: Combat has become one of the game's biggest positives, even if it does still feel heavily inspired by other titles. Some truly excellent boss battles with imaginative twists on combat
Cons: Story feels a little weak in comparison to the barmy Stick Of Truth. Superhero theme feels like a missed opportunity

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Review

4.4
Verdict: There's a defining investment irony split between South Park the show, and South Park the current series of games (Stick of Truth, The Fractured But Whole). Leaving aside the amount of time it takes to make either -- and they're literally years apart -- on a viewer/player level South Park the show...

South Park The Fractured but Whole (PS4)

3.0
Verdict: Ultimately, I believe that The Fractured But Whole has a problem with quantity over quality. Ubisoft San Diego crammed the game with lots of things to see and do, most of it comes off as a result of someone repeatedly asking, "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if we put this in

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Review – The Difficult Sequel

3.5
Verdict: Unfortunately, where The Fractured But Whole really disappoints is in its setting. The Stick of Truth had already introduced us to an open-world South Park, so revisiting the likes of Cartman's house or Stark's Pond is no longer a novelty.
Pros: Excellent grid-based combat system, Scott Malkinson and Cousin Kyle have great roles, So many abilities to choose from
Cons: Not as funny as The Stick of Truth, Retreading the same map, Performance issues and bugs, Tags

PS4 Review - 'South Park: The Fractured but Whole'

4.0
Verdict: Buy South Park: The Fractured but Whole South Park: The Fractured But Whole follows up moments after the end of the South Park: The Stick of Truth . The New Kid's reign as king lasts a few scant moments before the kids get bored of playing fantasy games and move on to playing superheroes.

South Park The Fractured but Whole (PS4)

No reviews
Verdict: The first game was based on popular culture at the time and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy was still a big thing, even though the game spent nigh-on five years in development. Much like the TV show, there were parodies and social commentary on politics of the time, which was all wrapped up in The...

South Park: The Fractured but Whole

4.0
Verdict: The new kid is back in town, or well, he picks things up right where we left them in The Stick of Truth, but Cartman has a new idea. No longer interested in playing kings, wizards, he tells kids of South Park that they need to play as superheroes again.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Review – The Ultimate RPG About Mastering Your Ass

4.7
Verdict: As Thin Lizzy once said, the boys are back in town! After far too many delays it's time for another adventure in the not-so-quiet mountain town of South Park! Developed by Ubisoft San Francisco, South Park: The Fractured But Whole continues the story of the New Kid from The Stick of Truth.
Pros: Creative, Twisted Humor, Fantastic Turn-Based Combat, Fun Character Creation, Simple RPG Elements, Super Powered Farting
Cons: Fair Amount of Walking

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Review

Verdict: South Park: The Fractured But Whole doesn't remake the wheel that The Stick of Truth crafted so well. The first game made for a near perfect South Park experience, with bare bones RPG elements to make it all work.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole review

2.5
Verdict: Chris checks out Ubisoft's follow-up to 2014's mostly excellent South Park RPG, The Stick of Truth.
Pros: Looks and feels like South Park. When the jokes hit, they hit hard. Combat is a nice upgrade over the first game
Cons: Jokes fall flat too often. The satire rarely hits. Story is never engaging. I played a better version of this game three years ago

South Park: The Fractured But Whole – review

4.0
Verdict: The Stick Of Truth finally gave us a South Park game that was actually good . Following a similar formula, The Fractured But Whole (did you spot the subtle play on words there) looks to replicate that success.

PS4 Review: South Park: The Fractured But Whole

4.5
Verdict: The Stick of Truth has to be one of the most brutally hilarious games I have played in years, mixing classic South Park characters dressed up in LOTR/GOT costumes and completing quests as the new kid in town.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Review (Nintendo Switch) – Fart Jokes On The Go

No reviews
Verdict: Ubisoft San Francisco's South Park: The Fractured But Whole is about as basic a port as we'll likely ever get on the Nintendo Switch. Those coming in expecting a slew of Switch-specific features may be disappointed, but what's here is still portable South Park - something a lot of us were clawing...

Game Review: South Park The Fractured But Whole

4.2
Verdict: South Park: The Stick of Truth released back in 2014 and much like its release, the sequel to that very game, 2017's South Park: The Fractured But Whole has suffered more delays then most.
Pros: Near perfect replication of the TV series, Changes made to combat adds layer of depth to gameplay, Decent level of depth to craft and create systems, Again, one of the funniest games I'll ever play
Cons: A couple of minor sound glitches

South Park The Fractured but Whole (PS4)

4.4
Verdict: "If you find yourself in the center of the Venn diagram of "people who enjoy South Park" and "people who enjoy turn-based RPGs" then South Park: The Fractured but Whole and its predecessor The Stick of Truth are both must-play video games." © 2017 Ubisoft, Ubisoft San Francisco. All rights reserved.
Pros: Consistently funny writing, outstanding representation of the world of South Park, amusing subversions of RPG ideas and situations, combat and class systems with surprising depth
Cons: Fewer good jokes than Stick of Truth, South Park humor is hit and miss, a few noticeable glitches, reckless endangerment of cats

South Park The Fractured but Whole (PS4)

4.0
Verdict: Like the comic book movies it parodies, The Fractured but Whole isn't perfect, but it'll make you smile. I've told and re-told the old chestnut about how part of my first purchase with my first paycheque was Castlevania: Symphony of the Night .

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

3.5
Verdict: Picking up directly after South Park: The Stick of Truth , South Park: The Fractured But Whole sees Cartman interrupting the ongoing Medieval-themed playtime shenanigans of South Park's fourth-grade schoolboys by telling them that they'll be playing at being superheroes.

Bigger, Longer, And Improved

4.4
Verdict: Since it began airing in 1997, South Park has challenged what a television show should be. It killed a recurring character every episode during its early years, and had a series retrospective clip show episode in the middle of its second season.

Nothing but whole truth

5.0
Verdict: Early delivery on Monday. Great game full of south park humor. I enjoyed the stick of truth more as im not into the whole super hero thing asmuch. Still a high score for me as the combat system has given it a greater RPG feel.

For southpark fans

5.0
Verdict: Well if you like southpark tv series this is a great game. It's got a lot off dialogue that you Only would find funny if you have seen the show. Personal I would not recommend it if you are not a fan if you haven't seen it as I think this game is made for fans.
