Sony Xperia XA F3115

Aesthetically speaking, the Sony Xperia XA is a stunning phone. Everyone should find a colour to match their personality by choosing from White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold. At only 7.9mm thick, it has a sleek, minimalist look, and at 137.4g you’ll be able to take it anywhere without it affecting the weight of your pocket too much. With its 5-inch screen covered in scratch-resistant glass, it will keep on looking stunning for a long time too.

Luckily its highlights don’t stop there, because its functionality is as exceptional as its style. At its foundation, it has an Octa-core CPU and a Mali-T860MP2 GPU which helps this Smartphone perform quick & fault free. Paired with this is an Android version 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) operating system. For even better application support, you should consider upgrading to version 7.0 (Nougat) though.

Download applications, files and images onto the Xperia’s 16GB internal storage space. You’ll find that it can contain quite a lot of your favourite games and images. You can easily slide in a 256GB MicroSD card if you need to store even more data.

One feature that may use up storage space is the Sony Xperia XA’s camera. With a 13MP camera, you may be tempted to take more pictures than usual, due to their exceptional quality. All the photos will look extraordinary on the touchscreen, with its resolution of 720x1280 pixels and 294 ppi pixel density.

Sony Xperia XA: The Beautifully flawed budget phone [REVIEW]

The Sony Xperia XA is the latest from Sony's line up of the Xperia X series. The XA is the mid range fairly inexpensive version of them all which consist of the X, XA Ultra and X Performance. The XA is the phone I found most intriguing since the others are beefed up with higher end specs.

Narrow margins

Of Sony's 2016 offerings, the Xperia XA is the one that managed to get under our skin. It reminds us of the Xperia T, which sold us on a curved back, solely on the basis of aesthetics and ergonomics.

The Sony Xperia XA is a peculiar mix of the good, the great and the terrible. It looks wonderful and build quality is good. It has a microSD slot, a decent camera and NFC. The price is reasonable, too.

Sony Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra hands-on first impressions video

The Sony Xperia X , Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra smartphones were recently launched in Malaysia for RM2499, RM1199 and RM1699 respectively. While we did manage to do some hands-on with these devices during the launch we've since come out with a hands-on video of the smartphones.

The smartphone that's Xtremely Average

Reasonably good camera and touchscreen

Poor fit and finish; Questionable aesthetics; Short battery life; Slow performance; Far better value phones available

Sony Xperia XA

Sony is becoming irrelevant in the mobile space. Its high-end phones are increasingly dull and forgettable, highlighted by the recent Sony Xperia X , and it's now falling behind in the mid-range space thanks to the OnePlus 3 , Moto G4 Plus and Vodafone Smart Ultra 7 .

Clean version of Android; Good for one-handed use; Basically no side bezels

Drab screen; Better options at this price; Slow; unreliable camera; Grease magnet

Sony Xperia XA review

For a company that rarely truly excels when it comes to smartphones, Sony has made another odd move with the Xperia XA. It's a visual stunner, but the specs are disappointing. How does it stand up to daily use though?

Sony Xperia XA review

Update: We're still waiting on Android Nougat to land on the Sony Xperia XA, but we're told that it's still on the way. Unfortunately, it's one of the final phones in Sony's line of supported devices to receive the software. Even the Sony Xperia Z3+ has Nougat already.

Sony Xperia XA review

Good looks alone aren't enough to make this the new champion of the cheap Android phones

Looks a million bucks; and feels premium too; Plays nice with microSD cards; Decent screen for your cash

Moto G4 offers more for less; Underpowered performance; Battery life woes

Sony Xperia XA review

We feared that Sony might finally have come off the tracks with the Xperia X. Can the cheaper Xperia XA right the wrongs, or is it on a collision course with disappointment once more?

Desirable design; great price; NFC

Dim display; bloatware; performance hiccups; battery won't last a day
