Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones - Silver WH1000XM4S review

When the team at Sony introduced their first pair of 1000X headphones, they were competing in a market overwhelmed by big brands like Bang & Olufsen and Bose.

Proprietary audio technology for great sound, AI enhancements to compressed music, Adaptive sound control, Smart listening for convenience, and wearing detection, 30-hour battery life with 10-minute quick charge, Multi-device pairing, App connectivity, Touch controls are easy to use, Amazon Alexa...

Not many upgrades from the previous, No waterproofing, No APTX support

Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones - Silver WH1000XM4S review

This may be the perfect wireless headphone of 2020

- Refined audio; ANC is still amazing; long battery life; multi-device connectivity; wear detection; Speak-to-Chat and Quick Attention

The RM1599 may be a bit too expensive; though you get what you pay for

Definitely get what you pay for

After finding that many Bluetooth headphones had functions or features that proved to be complicated, these headphones are straightforward to use from the start, with built-in features you can manage via an app rather than on the headphones themselves. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a straight-forward pair of Bluetooth headphones with great sound quality.

Absolutely phenomenal noise cancelling

Ive been using noise cancelling headphones for a few years (Plantronics Backbeat Pro), and upgraded to these ones. The jump in active noise cancelling performance between these is absolutely stunning. Peoples voices turn into a quiet barely audible tinny sound (far, far superior to the BB's), and background hum is utterly gone. The first words out of my mouth when hearing the noise cancelling performance while people were speaking…well, they cannot be repeated here. Lets just say, im very impressed. Music performance is good, not too bass heavy. The reviews are right, these are the best out there.

Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones - Black WH1000XM4B review

NEW DELHI: As far as consumer audio products are concerned, Sony’s 1000XM series never fails to impress. But the problem with updating any consumer electronics product on a yearly basis is that you run out of ways to make them better. With the WH-1000XM4, Sony faces that uphill battle.

Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones - Silver WH1000XM4S review

Sony has refreshed its flagship wireless headphones this year, though you will be forgiven if you mistake the XM4s for a rehash of the XM3. Taking a “don’t fix it unless it’s broken” approach, Sony didn’t set out to fully remake the headphones.
