These are definitely a premium product: you're getting what you're paying for. But as a premium product, they don't quite have some things right. For a start, it's crazy that you can't wireless while charging.
Battery life shortens reapply with each charge. I really enjoyed this product for about 3 month, then I didn't even bothered to charge it. Noise Cancelation is great as long as no Small Children sitting behind or near by, as their little high voices cut right threw Sony's ambient sound block!
The flagship Sony WH-1000XM2 sounds incredible, offers intuitive features and great battery life. It is a great pair of headphones, excusing a few minor drawbacks.

Sony's WH-1000XM2 may not be quite as comfortable as Bose's QuietComfort 35 II, but in some respects it's a superior headphone.
The Sony WH-1000XM2 is an excellent-sounding, comfortable wireless headphone with effective noise canceling that measures up to Bose's for muffling ambient noise; Its battery life has been improved and it has some nifty extra features geared toward frequent travelers
It should perform a little better as a headset; Battery isn't replaceable
Right now, the wireless headphone market is a win-win-win scenario for the customer looking for a noise cancelling full-sized cans. Between the Sennheiser , PSB , and Sony you really can't go wrong.
