Midway through last year I switched from Bose QC35's to the new Sony MDR-1000X noise cancelling headphones for travelling. While the Bose QC35's were excellent the Sony's were just that little bit better, than even the newer Bose QC40.

I had these for a couple of weeks. Mainly used them at work too cut out noise and use for calls. The NC works great and pretty comfortable wearing all day with glasses on. I have a pair of Bowers & Wilkins wired pair, that the Sonys will replace, the sound was great, but comfort while wearing...
NC works great; sound; and comfort while wearing glasses
Concerned about quality of the head band breaking as seen in other reviews; Cost is a little high for the band quality; Just have to be careful with them
I spent hours upon hours of researching to find the perfect wireless headphones. I tried on both the Beats Studio3 and Bose QC35II. The bose was amazing in terms of comfort and had great sound. However what sold me on these was; 1. They are comfortable (not as comfortable as Bose QC35).
These could have been the best pair of noise cancelling headphones out there. With the MDR-1000X headband breaking issue, Sony had a chance to perhaps clean a little bit the image, there is no other reason for a whole new model of headphones to be released that is in fact pretty much the same as the...
The Sony WH-1000xM2 headphones are definitely a category leader, with top-notch active noise-cancellation to match its intelligible features and stellar soundstage. Upgrades to the mids and highs, along with the vast number of audio-customization settings in the Connect app, create an immersive...
Amazing sound quality; Solid noise cancellation; Comfy and premium design; 30 hours of estimated battery life; Companion app with intelligible features
On the pricey side; Touch controls can be spotty
These headphones are amazing! I've been looking for a good pair of headphones for sometime and after much research decided to go with these and I'm so glad I did. The sound quality that pumps out of these are nothing short of mind blowing.
Excellent sound; Touch controls work well; Effective and adaptive noise cancellation; aptX HD support;
B&W PX has slightly better audio quality; Bose QC35 II has slightly more effective NC;
I bought these to listen to music and watch films through my computer, so I mostly use them wired, and I must say they're fantastic. Really comfortable to wear and the sound is excellent.My friend has the Bose pair, and I must say I prefer mine.
Well after my Bose in ear buds final called it a day I hit the market for a new set of headphones and I have to say these Sony noise cancelling headphones really do the trick, cuts back round noise down to a minimum and yes you can't hear the nagging other half lol.
I have needed a new pair of noise cancelling headphones for ages and finally bought these after trying them out in the Richer Sounds shop in Manchester. Boy, am I glad a I did. They are not the cheapest set in the world - far from it - but in this case you really get what you pay for.
