Great sound, comfortable, great noise cancelling, aptx hd

I'm using mine with a pixel 2. I was worried that I'd be putting all my money into noise cancelling with poor sound quality but I was quite surprised to hear excellent sound come through these...

The headphones have great sound with punchy but not fake bass and crisp highs; The mids are clear with great separation; Busy, complex music isn't simplified; Noise cancelling doesn't muffle the music; Touch control is intuitive.

Not usb cable charging; 20 hours, not 30 with highest sound quality setting; aptX HD Audio support is limited; Cannot charge and listen at the same time

Sony hit a home-run with its flagship noise cancelling MDR-1000X back in 2016. It even managed to give the Bose QC35 ( Review ) some stiff competition. Both companies unveiled their follow-up offerings last year, and now that we've reviewed the Bose QC35 II, it's time to check out Sony's new...

Great build quality; Convenient touch controls; Great sound quality; Feature-rich companion app; Very good battery life; Effective noise cancellation

Multi-point connection is a compromise; High price

Fantastic!

These headphones are fantastic. Music sounds great on them, perfect and the touch controls are really easy to operate. Noise cancelling is spot on, with every penny.

Sony WH-1000XM2 Over-ear Wireless Active Noise-Cancelling headphones - Black

Best Wireless NC Headphones I've used so far. Used recently on 14 hour flight and the Active Noise-Cancelling was amazing, couldn't hear a thing!

Fabulous!

I bought these to listen to music and watch films through my computer, so I mostly use them wired, and I must say they're fantastic. Really comfortable to wear and the sound is excellent. My friend has the Bose pair, and I must say I prefer mine.

Jack of all trades.

Supposed to be the latest and greatest noise cancelling headphones. Decent all-around package but the noise cancelling does not match the Bose QC 35 and the sound quality does not match the Sennheiser PXC 550.

Love them!

I spent hours upon hours of researching to find the perfect wireless headphones. I tried on both the Beats Studio3 and Bose QC35II. The bose was amazing in terms of comfort and had great sound. However what sold me on these was; 1. They are comfortable (not as comfortable as Bose QC35).

It's rare to see a company make an almost perfect product. It's even rarer to see one improve an almost perfect product. And yet, here we are. Sony's already incredible MDR-1000X wireless, adaptive noise-cancelling headphones got an upgrade earlier this year and dropped the price to $350.

Incredible noise-cancelling; great sound

Touch sensitive controls can be finicky
