Midway through last year I switched from Bose QC35's to the new Sony MDR-1000X noise cancelling headphones for travelling. While the Bose QC35's were excellent the Sony's were just that little bit better, than even the newer Bose QC40.
These are definitely a premium product: you're getting what you're paying for. But as a premium product, they don't quite have some things right. For a start, it's crazy that you can't wireless while charging.
Right now, the wireless headphone market is a win-win-win scenario for the customer looking for a noise cancelling full-sized cans. Between the Sennheiser , PSB , and Sony you really can't go wrong.
