Sony WH1000XM2

It's fair to say that by now most people who have an interest in wireless headphones know that the top 3 headphones for noise cancelling are Bose, Sony and Sennheiser.

Excellent wireless sound quality and signal; Touch controls; Excellent battery life; Good passive noise cancellation; Goes nice and loud; Pairs fast to your phone

Expensive; Not as comfortable as Sennheiser 598 for example; Potentially fragile (previous model suffered with cracking headband so far so good with this model though)

Sounds great

Well worth the money. They connect to most of my Bluetooth items. Noise cancelling is great and the ambience is also good. I use these in the office. To listen to music and take Skype calls.. They are built to a high standard and quality. More importantly they are easy to use.

Sony WH-1000 XM2: An incredibly feature-rich and well-designed wireless noise cancelling headphone

The headphone market is huge and with so many entrants and products in the field. Not to mention, the different types of headphones.

Not as good in real life as in the store.

It is not a bad headset but it is on the top end so you expect a little better. First the fit is large so if you have a slightly smaller head as I do then it fits loose. Not impossible to wear but I suspect as the unit gets a little age, it will not stay on my head.

Sony WH-1000XM2 review: OK Sony, you win

I have a problem. It's an incredibly first-world problem, because it's one where no amount of gear is ever "enough". Literally the week after I ordered my brand new Audio Technica ATH-M40X, I was already scouring the internet for a brand new pair of wireless headphones with active noise cancellation...

Superb noise cancelling, great sound, comfortable

I have needed a new pair of noise cancelling headphones for ages and finally bought these after trying them out in the Richer Sounds shop in Manchester. Boy, am I glad a I did. They are not the cheapest set in the world - far from it - but in this case you really get what you pay for.

Best in-class noise cancelling ear phones!

I purchased this early January 2018, and I'm in love with this headphones. The noise cancelling features are the best in-class. Perfect fit for my ear. The headphones are sturdy yet light, and made of high quality materials (definitely an improvement compared to its previous model Sony headphones).

O had very high expectations, mostly satisfied

The sound cancellation is excellent. Can't fault it. Tried it on planes and public transport and I'm very happy. It also has options to adapt the noise cancellation to let in different kinds of noise. For example you can let it announcements, or birds and wind if you are in a park etc.
