Get it, read the directions, love it!

This device is exactly what I wanted and exactly what I wanted to pay. If you have trouble getting it to synch, read the directions (again) and this time do what they say! There were times it didn't go as loud as I wanted it to but that was probably a good thing.

Sony's SRS-BTV5 wireless ball speaker just misses the plate

Tiny wireless Bluetooth speakers -- particularly the ball-shaped variety -- continue to proliferate, and Sony has gotten in on the action with its SRS-BTV5, a $69.99 model that comes in black, white, and pink.

The; is a sleek and compact ball-shaped wireless Bluetooth speaker that offers a good feature set; including a built-in rechargeable battery; speakerphone capabilities; an auxiliary input; and NFC one-touch tap-to-pair technology

In terms of sound it fails to distinguish itself from the pack; and the NFC technology proved problematic

Great Little Speaker

Very simple to pair with bluetooth, and the NFC is nice to have to make the pairing faster. Although the sound is not like a big speaker it is cystal clear and the volume can get quite loud. It looks like a Star Wars drone satelite but unfortunately doesn't float yet.

Charge Is Relatively Fast; Easy To Transport; Great Interface; Great Sound; Stylish

Great sound!

Great sound for a little speaker. Only complaint is process needed to pair with bluetooth device. I would recommend this little beauty to friends.

Great

It is a cute and useful item. I love the design. The sound is big and enough good for me. The only unconvenient is no connecting cable for device without bluetooth.

Great design but sound is limited

Great design and build quality. The size makes it very portable, but it also limits the sound. The sound isn't very loud. If you want something that's portable, looks good and sounds better than your average phone or tablet this will be fine, but don't expect a drastic improvement.

I adore my speaker for my iPad. It is clear & no vibrations or buzzing. For the size it's amazing how solid it is. It goes where I go. Especially when I go on my Vacay I have already shown it to a few people & they were also impressed. I hope they will purchase one.

it's a keeper

Sony has a knack for coming up with products with great design. And weird names. The SRS-BTV5 wireless speaker has both of those qualities. A spherical wireless speaker of 6.5 cm x 6.76 cm x 6.5 cm dimensions, it is small and light enough (135 grammes) to slip into a trouser pocket and comes with...

The Sony SRS-BTV5 is a very unique gadget with a spherical build and flat base that is capable of acting as an external speaker. Sony SRS-BTV5 connects via Bluetooth or NFC. We unboxed the device recently. Let's check out how it performs in the complete review.
