Sound quality at it's best

This one of the sound systems one would like to have. Especially when you want to watch in Dolby Atmos. The correct placement of the rear speakers is very important and have the sub placed in the corner of the room close to the wall and see the effect for a 500W system. Pairing is very easy.

NICE sound.

Great sound. Had a 20yr old surround sound system with no Subwoofer, replace with the HT-Z9F. Very impressed! Simple hook up. No more speaker wires. First movie on to test... Star Wars opening music!! Nice an sleek. No rear speakers yet, but I could only imagine what the sound would be!

What A Surprise

This sound bar was purchased because on a recommendation from a Sony Rep working in the store where it was purchased. I was hesitant to purchase this sound bar at first but, its totally blown away my expectations on sound and build quality. This unit was easy to set up and use.

Great sound

I am really impressed with the volume and quality of sound, it is nuanced and rich. It was much better than I expected and has added such a difference to my TV viewing. I wasn't completely happy with the TV's sound and thought I would try a sound bar.

A must have to pair with your Sony soundbar!

These rear speakers are a must to pair with the soundbar and subwoofer. I've never had a setup like this and wish I've purchased them sooner! Extremely easy to pair. #sweepstakes

Sony HT-Z9F Review – 3.1 channel Soundbar with Dolby Atmos

Amazing picture quality can be undercut by mediocre sound. Most HDTVs are built with a focus on providing a crisp image, leaving sound almost entirely overlooked. And it would be fair to say the speakers that come built-in on televisions are proportionally equivalent to the speakers on your...

Sony Z9F soundbar hands-on review

Soundbars are all about compromise: you buy one because you don't have room for a full surround sound setup, and you expect a narrower audio experience as a result. With one of these plugged into your telly box, it won't feel like you're really compromising at all. Sony's virtual version of Atmos might not be quite as convincing as the real thing, but it certainly expands the experience in films and music, creating a more immersive soundstage without needing a shedload of extra speakers. Delivering that through three small soundbar drivers is quite impressive, and the built-in smart features are all wecome additions to any home cinema setup. We'd want to try one out with our own test footage, and compare and contrast with an actual Atmos setup before delivering a final verdict, but hopefully that won't be too long: the Z9F is going on sale in the next few months.
