Sony RX100 III Review: Pocket Camera Could Kill Your DSLR

You won't be making movies with RX100 III, but it can shoot video that's perfectly fine for online posting. A clip of a piano player in the park shot at 1080p and 60 frames per second showed smooth movement, as you can see in people walking by in the background.

Lovely photos with plenty of detail; high-quality OLED viewfinder; clean low-light photos; solid, all-metal chassis; extremely compact

Sluggish autofocus; occasional autoexposre glitches; jerky HD video at 24fps; pricey

Sony RX100 Mark III Review

Four months into 2015, I still wouldn't give up this camera for any other in the market, because even for its price of Php44,990 (lower for cash purchases and in other retailers), there is just no camera that's near as good as this one that can fit in your pocket.

If you've been following MirrorLessons from the beginning, you might remember that we purchased a Sony RX100 II for our holiday in Wales last year. Even back then, we were highly impressed by the way Sony managed to merge high-end technology and compactness into one body.

Third Time's a Charm When I reviewed the original RX100 two years ago my closing comment was "The summary judgement for me is that the new Sony RX100 is hands-down the most appealing pocket-sized digital camera yet.

The RX100 seems to promise us, ultimately, a sort of freedom: the freedom to be rid of our bulky DSLRs, and their heavy lenses, yet still reap the same potency of imaging. It's close, I tell you. Very, very close. As a compact camera the RX100-I and II are peerless; the Mark III is even better.

Mashable Choice highlights the best of everything we cover, have experienced first-hand and would recommend to others. The RX100 Mark III is Sony's third-generation high-end point-and-shoot. The $800 camera succeeds the RX100 Mark II.

Tech Crunch

Sony continues to dazzle with the RX-100 Mark III line, and if you're looking for the best possible photos in the smallest possible camera, you should look no further. The combination of a flexible zoom range with a high aperture lens and big sensor mean this isn't just a camera that'll get the job...

To be honest, if you just want to capture great street scenes, either can works. However, the RX100 Mk III is what we'd recommend to the street photography crowd. In fact, you'll probably never miss a shot.

Sony Cyber-Shot RX100 Camera - Mark 3 DSCRX100M3 review

The newest RX100, or what I call it, “the Super 100” (RX100 III) is a genuine masterpiece of a point and shoot. It does NOT get better than this in a pocket P&S camera, period. From the design, the build, the EVF, the swivel LCD to the fast lens and punchy color and pop from the files, the RX100 III...
