Integral zoom lens cameras are often referred to as "bridge" cameras: the idea being that they bridge the gap between compact and DSLR models. After spending a few hours with the RX10 IV, we're very impressed with this camera so far. The improved AF-perhaps its biggest selling point-was incredibly quick during our field tests.

I purchased this camera to use on a vacation to Newfoundland. I do quite a bit of hiking there and I wanted to reduce the wait that I normally carry when using a DSLR. I am very happy with the features this camera offers. One feature that I would like to have would be a digital ND filter.

For a wildlife shooter and at times a sports shooter I have not found a camera that has given me the ability to stop a bird in flight. To freeze a surfer on a maneuver that would make you feel that this has one big wow. I have focused on a insect and a jet flying.
