Outstanding sharp images and great zoom to 600mm!

On a recent trip to China I realized that my Canon T6s as well as Canon 18-135 Nano lens and Canon 100-400mm L USM were being outperformed by the Sony RX10lll I purchased for my wife in August 2016. While I was switching lens and carrying around 7 pounds worth of gear costing over $3,000.

Sony RX10 III

The RX10 III is the third iteration of Sony's unusual premium bridge camera. It was announced not too long after the Sony RX10 II, but rather than being a replacement, it's said that both models will exist at the same time, giving a couple of choices to consumers who are in the market for this type...

Sony RX10 III review

The Sony RX10 III was announced in March this year, less than a year after the RX10 II which, according to Sony, the new camera doesn't replace. The most noticeable difference is the inclusion of a variable aperture (f/2.4-4) mega zoom lens, with a reach of 600mm (25x optical and 100x digital zoom),...

It's all in here and little to fault..excellent results

As an enthusiastic amateur photographer, I initially found the array of options and settings etc. seriously challenging, but with some close set up and use of automatic settings I have found this camera to be great to use and the results have been stunningly excellent.

Ultimate Travel Camera

"I've now put 10,000km and over 7,000 frames on my RX10iii to Iceland and back and through the hills and dales of England for 5 weeks _ with its fast, sharp, almost distortion-free 24-600mm lens, this camera does it all.

What a Zoom!

Wildlife photography with this camera is a real pleasure. I wanted something that would get me up close and still have enough detail to make large prints. This camera can do it.

One of the most capable all-in-one cameras that we have ever seen, the Sony CyberShot RX10 III offers an entire mirrorless or DLSR setup in a single package. Sporting a slew of upgrades from the RX10 II; we are left with a very sensitive 20.1-Megapixel EXMOR RS CMOS imaging sensor, BIONZ X image...

Outstanding overall image quality; Dedicated Video Capture Button is always ready to record; Versatile 24-600mm optical zoom lens is ready for any situation; Great low-light performance from large f/2.4-4.0 aperture and great bokeh; Outstanding performance from the BIONZ X processor; Optical...

Battery life is a little short; lack of an included external battery charger makes it more difficult to keep spare batteries ready to go; $1,500 price tag is very steep

Sony Cyber-shot RX10 III review

The Sony RX10 III is an update to Sony's high-end Bridge Super-zoom which retains its predecessor's 1 inch 20 Megapixel sensor, 4k video, super-slow motion modes, electronic viewfinder and its flip-up 3-inch screen.

Sony RX10 III Superzoom Camera Review (Full Resolution Test Images)

The RX10 III's real attributes, however, lie with its photo skills. Because of its large sensor, the camera's incredibly long zooming capabilities produce surprisingly good still image quality.
