The RX10 III is the third iteration of Sony's unusual premium bridge camera. It was announced not too long after the Sony RX10 II, but rather than being a replacement, it's said that both models will exist at the same time, giving a couple of choices to consumers who are in the market for this type...

Review: Sony RX10 III

How do you follow up a classic? Last autumn, we called Sony's then-new RX10 II "the best bridge camera ever" - but less than a year on, it's already got a successor.

Ultimate Travel Camera

"I've now put 10,000km and over 7,000 frames on my RX10iii to Iceland and back and through the hills and dales of England for 5 weeks _ with its fast, sharp, almost distortion-free 24-600mm lens, this camera does it all.

Sony RX10 III review: A camera for all seasons

As its name suggests, the RX10 III is the third iteration of Sony's RX10 bridge camera, building on the appeal of the RX10 II (which Sony continues to market and sell) by boosting the optical zoom's reach.

Brilliantly versatile; ots of zoom range; fun HFR shooting mode; quick autofocus; decent low-light performance

No touchscreen; large and bulky; restrictive price tag

With smartphone cameras getting better by the day, the compact camera segment isn't flourishing like it once used to. There are some things a compact camera can do that most smartphones can only dream of, most notably optical zoom, but other than this, you can achieve remarkable quality photos and...

Massive zoom capability; Very good image and video performance; Good image stabilisation system; Decent battery life; Built-in Wi-Fi and NFC

Rear buttons feel cheap; Expensive; Autofocus system isn't the quickest

Sony Cyber-shot RX10 Mark III

The latest addition to Sony's RX10 fixed-lens long-zoom series of cameras, the Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 III replaces the 24-200mm (equivalent) zoom lens in the RX10 II with a new Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 8.8-220mm f/2.4-4 lens that covers a wide, 25x optical zoom range equivalent to 24-600mm in 35mm format.

Superb Image and Video quality

I have owned this camera for about a month now, and I love it. The zoom range is to die for, and the image stabilisation is excellent. I previously owned the Panasonic FZ1000 and the image quality on this Sony puts the Panasonic to shame, colours and exposure on the RX10 iii are spot on.

Great Picture Quality; Superb Video

Outstanding sharp images and great zoom to 600mm!

On a recent trip to China I realized that my Canon T6s as well as Canon 18-135 Nano lens and Canon 100-400mm L USM were being outperformed by the Sony RX10lll I purchased for my wife in August 2016. While I was switching lens and carrying around 7 pounds worth of gear costing over $3,000.
