Sony Cyber-shot HX400V pictures and hands-on

Everyone loves a superzoom. Sony has updated its HX line with the beefed-up Cyber-shot HX400V model to inject a dash of speed into proceedings. The HX400V is, for the most part, a mirror image of the earlier HX300V camera from last year.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX400V review

The Sony HX400V is a bridge camera, which means it sits somewhere between a compact and SLR. However, these days there are so many cameras that occupy this territory that it feels less like a bridge and more a spaghetti junction.

I bought this camera before going for a trip to Morocco. I am completely amateur, but I like photography and decided to buy it to register our trips. Before buying I checked with my cousin who is a professional photographer, which one is the best option among SONY DSC H400/ SONY DSC HX400/ CANON...

A really good all in one camera.

When I am on holiday I really do not want to keep changing lenses if I see some wildlife and then back again for scenic shots. This bridge camera is a great compromise and the picture quality is very good, the steady shot is very effective making handheld pictures at the long end of the zoom a...

Sony HX400: Hands-On Review

The Sony HX400 is an excellent extended zoom camera that's a good fit as a family camera because of its versatility. It's not recommended for enthusiasts and intermediate photographers, but casual shooters and even beginners will find plenty to like about this camera.

Bad/Bad SONY DUDE!!!

Pros: This big bad Sony, is truly the greatest!! Powerful, bright, Carl Zeiss lens, do I need to say more. Best camera deal, which I have ever experienced. This is so powerful, make sure you can handle it, as it might just take charge of you.

Sony Cyber-shot HX400V review

The Sony HX400V is a first-rate super-zoom that improves on its predecessor in numerous ways. The headline improvements – a new sensor and powerful processor are welcome, but it's the smaller incremental changes that impressed me more.

50x optical zoom; Excellent stabilisation; Built-in GPS and Wifi with NFC; 1080p50/60 HD video with PASM; Hot shoe / Accessory port

Low resolution electronic viewfinder; Lacks a touch screen; No High speed movie modes; No RAW mode

This is the best a point and shoot can get

Firstly...there is no such thing as a semi DSLR, its either a point and shoot or a DSLR. Sony HX400V is an advanced point and shoot camera, and what a camera it is. I own a Nikon D5200 DSLR and have also used Sony HX400V.
