Sony?BDP-S350

I was really excited to get this home and add it to my home theater. I find the menu silly, it is slow to boot movies, the picture thru my Sharp 9000 high def projector is average. I used a samsung upconverting dvd player before which had better sound and just as good a picture as the Blue ray.

Clunky

Have owned this for a couple of years and have not been happy. It stalls for no reason and the fast-forward is jumpy and choppy. It was very slow to start up until I installed an update. Would not buy this model again.

Low priced but excellent quality player.

One from the cheaper end of the Bluray player market but nevertheless one that produces excellent pictures and sound, in fact, better than some highly priced ones. If you are looking for a first Bluray player player (it plays DVDs as well) you won't go wrong with this one.

What I wanted

Liked it was in great shape & condition. It works very well but doesn't play all my Dvds or Blu Rays.

Sony HT-S350 Review

Sony's HT-S350 soundbar chooses massive sound over clarity and features.

Easy setup; Big bass response; Powerful sound; Bluetooth connection to newer Sony TVs

Lacking in inputs and audio processing; Sound is boxy and occasionally unbalanced; Poor visual interface

Sony HT-S350

For a 2.1 soundbar system at this price, the Sony HT-S350 is a steal. The various audio modes and subwoofer levels allow for plenty of fine-tuning, but things already sound pretty great to begin. In this price range, we're also fans of the JBL Bar 3.1 , the Polk Audio Signa S1 , and the Sonos Beam .

Relatively affordable; Powerful, clear audio with multiple sound modes and adjustable subwoofer levels; Easy to set up and operate

Sound signature is quite sculpted; regardless of mode

Sony HT-S350 Review

The pricing for soundbars varies so greatly, it's hard to know where to dive in. Recently we reviewed the Bowers & Wilkins Formation Bar, which lacks a subwoofer at its base price of over $1,000. The Sony HT-S350, on the other hand, features a bar a wireless subwoofer for just $279.99. So it's only natural to wonder whether a 2.1 system this affordable is going to be any good. The good news is that it is indeed possible to get quality soundbar audio—with a subwoofer—for a relatively low price. It may not be audiophile-grade, but the HT-S350 is a powerhouse, with variable sound modes and subwoofer levels. It packs a lot of thunder, and is an excellent value for the price, earning our Editors' Choice. Design The HT-S350's main unit is a relatively modest 2.7-by-35.5-by-3.5-inch (HWD) bar, with a black contour featuring touch-sensitive buttons on its faux-leather top panel and a front-facing grille covering the drivers. The buttons are for power, TV (optical source), Bluetooth sourc...

The Sony HT-S350 soundbar delivers a wide range of audio modes and some serious thunder from its wireless subwoofer for a surprisingly affordable price.

Great value

I need to reclaim some space for larger furniture, so I decided to get rid of mu surround sound and replace it with a sound bar and sub woofer. After listening to several in my budget range, I decided on the Sony HT-S350. The overall sound quality for the price nailed it for me.

Sony HT-S350

Head and shoulders above the TV speakers, especially the low notes

It helps the older people hear the volume at much lower number and maintains the sound enrichment. The cost is much lower than other manufactures much higher retail

Worth every cent!

Probably the greatest soundbar at it's price. It's an amazing upgrade to what I already have, was extremely easy to setup, and is sleek enough to not take up my entire TV stand. Would definitely recommend.
