Low priced but excellent quality player.

One from the cheaper end of the Bluray player market but nevertheless one that produces excellent pictures and sound, in fact, better than some highly priced ones. If you are looking for a first Bluray player player (it plays DVDs as well) you won't go wrong with this one.

Clunky

Have owned this for a couple of years and have not been happy. It stalls for no reason and the fast-forward is jumpy and choppy. It was very slow to start up until I installed an update. Would not buy this model again.

Sony?BDP-S350

I was really excited to get this home and add it to my home theater. I find the menu silly, it is slow to boot movies, the picture thru my Sharp 9000 high def projector is average. I used a samsung upconverting dvd player before which had better sound and just as good a picture as the Blue ray.

A Crisp Picture

Comments about Sony BDP-S350 Blu-ray Disc Player: You have to buy your own HDTV cable. As for the remote it comes with that works ok but I have to use the Verizon remote and the Sony TV remote to actually see a movie. Or maybe I just don't know how to program the Sony remote to do all functions.

DVD Upconversion; Easy Set-Up; Excellent Image Quality; Good Connections; Good Soundtrack Support; Upgradeable

Remote; Slow Load Time

Sony BDP-S350

If you'd prefer not to spend a fortune on a Blu-ray player, but still want the quality-assurance that comes from the Sony brand, then the BDP-S350 is a top-quality choice.

Great performance for the asking price; attractive & compact design; comparatively fast load times; user-friendly interface

Poorly designed USB port; analog outputs limited to 2-channel

Sony BDP-S350

A bit slow to turn on and eject the disc but I think I'm just spoiled from having and used to loading movies on that.

Bdps350 Great

Just got the player about a month ago. The Player works awsome, much faster load times than the older bdps300. Great bang for the buck picture just as good as the more expensive bdps550 with just a couple less features. Which most people will never use.

Load time much faster this year; Ethenet connectivity; Dolby true hd and DTS HD audio

No DTS HD Master Audio; Lacks 7.1 audio

Sony BDP-S350

By no means perfect, but Sony have definitely stepped their Blu-ray players up a gear with this deck

Good picture quality; Decent sound; Efficient upscaling

Unimpressive build; Needs to be updated for BD-Live; DTS via bitstream only

Sony BDP-S350 review

Any way you look at it, the Sony BDP-S350 is an excellent Blu-ray player. It's well designed and easy to use. It supports high-end Blu-ray features such as BD-Live. And it produces good-looking images.

Sony BDP-S350

Sony has had a problem for a while now. Because it's a large company, each division operates in quite a separate environment. For Blu-ray, this has been something of a disaster. On the one hand, you have Sony's computer-entertainment division, which has been pushing the PlayStation 3 , with its...

Picture; sound; styling; performance; menu system; low price

Could be cheaper still; no 7.1 audio outputs or DTS-HD MA decode
