Sonos Playbar Review

The Sonos Playbar is a lounge-unifying device that will let you dump your remote controls and your old hi-fi in the bin. For everything but the most crashing of movie soundtracks the Sonos Playbar sounds great too, with excellent clarity and an expansive soundstage. If you want to get Atmos into your Sonos system, the Arc is better suited.

Fantastic design and build quality; High-detail, wide and engaging sound; Easy streaming from Spotify and suchlike; No HDMI;

Creating a 5.1 system is expensive;

Great.

Very good sound for a single unit, works well with the great TV that i perched from you. The service from the staff was very helpful,even when I had a coupleof problems.

Incredible sound for movies and music

I was tossing up between the Beam and the Playbar. My friend has the Beam, and its good, but this is far superior. If you have a big room (especially without carpet), the Playbar is a no brainer. I also got the sub and 2 x Ones for surround sound. Cant beat it.

Can't keep it working.

Got this at same time as 2 pair of Sonos: Ones (not the older version 1's, such as Costco sells). It all sounds great . . . . when it works. But after half a dozen resets & re-registers of all the components, I've given up trying to keep it all working.

Fantastic sound quality especially coupled with the sub

Price is an issue here; but quality does outweigh; resale is strong and you won't be disappointed; beware if you have a cat or a dog that sheds hair it sticks like glue to the shiny sub !

Sonos or Bose

My perspective is from that of a Bose Soundtouch 300 user for the past few years. I felt like something was just not right with the whole Bose soundbar experience, don't get me wrong the audio is good but the IOS app and operation was just clunky and not polished.

Great user experience Good sound Good build quality No remote needed

Only optical input Only 2.4 GHz wifi Chunky chassis

Very expensive for what it is but quality is high and integration with other Sonos equipment easy. Would not have bought this if it was my first Sonos product but I went in eyes open and it does sound lush. Physically much bigger than I expected
