Great, but you are going to end up buying . .

Another great Sonos component, but you will go back and buy the Play 3s for surround and the sub making it an expensive surround system. When you buy it all, it sounds great. On its own, the sound was a little weak for me.

Sound and Sonos addition

Needs the surround and sub to sound great

I can't image any better TV sound

I am pretty deaf, but with this speaker, I am hearing sounds in familiar tunes that I have not heard before. Of course, TV sound is immeasurably improved as well. Get the mounting plate as well, when you buy this soundbar.

Good product, for the money should be perfect: slight echo

Pretty awesome! Synced well with my remotes, I know there is an issue with some tv's but I have a Samsung smart TV and it worked fine. Plenty of sound turned only 1/10 of the way up, can't immagine it on fully blast...

Great Sound but Caution with LG OLED / Dolby digital

Hi all. I purchased the Playbar and Sonos Ones as a surround system and to be fair music quality and movie sound are excellent. But a Caution to all. Because of it only using an optical output and Dolby Digital file formats some of the other surround formats have to be transcoded in the TV.

Sonos PLAYBAR review

Sonos' last product launch - the Sonos Sub raised the eyebrows of many; a huge wireless subwoofer to accompany its streaming Play speakers and Connect amps. Where was the portable battery-powered unit? What about the waterproof stick-on speaker for the bathroom?

Simplicity; TV integration; Design

Surround sound could be better; Audiophiles will need a sub

Sonos Playbar review

Today's TVs have benefited from huge advances in engineering and manufacture, and they look amazing. But they only look amazing; in most cases, the sound they produce is as flat and as thin as the panel itself.

Sonos Playbar Review

Improvements in sound technology have come along at a pace in the last few years. There have always been Hi-Fi models that will give excellent quality sound, although these have usually come at a high price, but up until recently the sound from televisions has been flat and sometimes tinny.

- Look great; - Sound awesome; - Easy to use

- Quite expensive; - Not fully surround sound

Sonos Playbar review

This isn't a soundbar, this is a Sonos soundbar, and it's really rather awesome

Throbs with Sonos quality; Massive music selection; Superior to built-in TV speakers

Optical connection; not HDMI; Expanding the system is pricey

Sonos PlayBar

The Sonos PlayBar is the company's latest speaker and one designed specifically to sit under your TV. But does it work, should you bother, and what's it sound like? Pocket-lint has been using one in our home, watching as much TV as is healthy, to find out. It's long, it's black, it's moody.

Easy to install; sleek; good sound; can connect to Sonos Sub and two Play:3 speakers for surround sound

No HDMI; no 7.1 support; streaming to other components require they are in the same zone

Sonos PlayBar review

Sonos doesn't launch products too often, but when it does pull back the curtain on something new, it's almost invariably worth the wait. The PlayBar seems like a natural progression for the company, and it's clear that a lot of thought and planning went into its design.

Looks great; Works with existing TV remote; TV sound is clearer; louder & wider; Works as a Sonos ZonePlayer; Can be augmented with Sub & Play:3s

Full 5.1-channel setup is expensive
