It also proved how much savings could be enjoyed through the use of the devices.
The new marketing campaigns worked and in 2010 it was estimated that roughly 20% of homes in Sweden had the units at work. The company has produced more than one million units and is so successful that it became a publicly traded company, as well.
When SodaStream entered the U.S. market in 2012, retailers had difficulty keeping the units in stock and the company's sales exploded.
