Its AI is still the village idiot but there's still plenty of fun to be had here regardless. Put up with its niggles and you'll get your money's worth.

Sniping enemies is immensely satisfying; Huge; sprawling stages with multiple paths; Delightfully grotesque slow-mo X-ray killcams

AI can be a bit "see no evil; hear no evil; Detection is too harsh; evasion too forgiving; Lack of melee attack makes for sloppy close-up combat

I'll just like to first say that I've previously played the other two Sniper Elite games in the series (on PC/PS3) & I have to acknowledge that this game, the third in the series is the best.

A small improvement on the last game but until the issues with the artificial intelligence and other bugs are fixed Sniper Elite will always be off target.

The sniping works great and the x-ray vision (almost) never gets old; Large maps allow for a lot of freedom in how you tackle a mission; Some fun multiplayer modes

Glitchy, unsophisticated artificial intelligence ruins the tactical and stealth elements; Low tech graphics and poor sound design also spoil the effect

I'll keep this short and sweet- If you haven't yet played the second game, buy that one for cheaper. It is essentially the same as this one, except that you are fighting in Germany instead of Africa. Mechanics, controls, AI, bugs- it's all the exact same in V2.

Sniper Elite 3 is still a better sniping game than a stealth game, but at least the series has finally managed to create a fair balance between the two schools of gameplay.

Overall a decent game campaign is a bit short and it is impossible to get an online game at the moment hopefully they will fix it, I wont however be ordering a game This place again it the game was meant to come with a pre order DLC a week later still waiting for the code via email.
