Sniper Elite 4 PS4 Review

The third Sniper Elite game's headline feature was definitely the larger and more open levels when compared to previous games in the series. When it comes to the newly released fourth game in the World War II sniper series, it turns out that its even larger levels are the stars of the show, so both...

Sniper Elite 4 (PlayStation 4) Review

For the uninitiated, the Sniper Elite series takes place during World War II and is a third-person shooter sporting a lengthy campaign that's reliant on meeting multiple objectives (some optional) across each of its huge sandbox levels to progress.

Guns locked behind dlc

I really enjoyed SE3 but, coming late to the franchise, I had bought the game of the year edition so didn't realise that so many basic guns get locked behind dlc in the standard game!!! The game is fine, SE4 is more of the same but I can't support hiding basic content from players in paid for games.

Sniper Elite 4

A near-perfect run in most stealth games involves the player moving with confident purpose, weaving through scenery at speed, dodging NPC patrols, stealing silent through the shadows.

Sniper Elite 4 PC Review

Nazis and testicles, well exploding testicles, are two things very much tied to the Sniper Elite series. Ever since the x-ray mechanic was brought into Sniper Elite V2 , players have been having fun popping nazi testicle after nazi testicle (link mandatory video to demonstrate description of painful...

Sniper Elite 4 review

Ben heads to the land of lasagne to serve the Nazis a lead lunch.

Better close quarters combat; Massive levels with beautiful vistas; Expanded multiplayer includes an excellent co-op horde mode; Improved stealth

Derivative storyline; Bland protagonist

Sniper Elite 4 review – hitting the bullseye

A significant improvement on previous entries, with better stealth and AI making the sport of Nazi-hunting more enjoyable than ever.

The sniping and x-ray view are great fun, and the larger maps greatly increase the amount of freedom; Much improved movement systems and some enjoyable multiplayer options

Still fairly low tech in all areas, with the artificial intelligence still not being entirely reliable; Throwaway storyline and so-so cover-based combat

Sniper Elite 4: "The murderous choice on offer is positively intoxicating"

Huge levels and an incredible array of new ways to take down your targets make Sniper Elite 4 a killer addition to the stealthy series

The choice on offer is brilliant; Beautiful huge environments; Kill cams are wonderfully satisfying

The story isn't particularly inspiring; Collectors are going to go insane

Sniper Elite 4 review

You won’t get too many surprises, as the story really just isn’t all that engaging, but it doesn’t matter. By looking good, doubling down on the macabre yet moreish sniper gameplay, and expanding each mission area to really let you play the way you want, Sniper Elite 4 is the best entry in the series to date. It delivers just about everything fans of the series could want, and even without a gripping story, expands the formula so that new players can get in on the action too. Buy Sniper Elite 4 here from Amazon

Wide open levels with lots of gameplay possibilities; Slow-mo X-ray sniping still as satisfying (and sick) as ever; Multiplayer survival and co-op modes add lots of replay value ;

Story isn’t all that engaging; Game engine starting to show its age; Enemies still not the smartest bunch;
