For those that haven't played 2012's 'Sleeping Dogs', it's quite the underrated gem. I tackled it for the first time on the PC during 2013 after picking it up during a Steam sale, though at that time the last thing I thought was a future re-release.

You can call it a trend, or a lack of ideas. You can call it the need to fix the fact that new-gen systems - consoles that landed almost one year ago - have sizeable gaps that need filling, with malnourished players wanting for new experiences, appetites that require satisfaction.

Sleeping Dogs was my sleeper hit of 2012, and well worth playing on PS4 and Xbox One if you missed it the first time -- but at full price, not worth playing again as there's nothing amazing about this remastered port.

Hong Kong action cop movie meets open world game, Sleeping Dogs is a surprisingly deep and thoroughly entertaining release. Have you ever played a game that's perhaps a little flawed, but you just don't care. Maybe its storyline is predictable, or there are plot holes, but it doesn't matter.

Originally intended as a sequel to Activision's short-lived True Crime franchise, Sleeping Dogs had one of those tortured development cycles that usually results in utter disappointment.

"Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition" for the XBOX ONE is a visually enhanced port of the last-gen game complete with all the post-launch DLC including two story missions. "Dogs" started out as an entry in the "True Crime" series and its roots show despite the name change.

Fantastic scenarios, story and the fights are great! Kung Fu all over the place!

I've had this game for about a week and half and I'm almost halfway done with it. It's lightweight addicting. I would recommend this game to anyone.
