I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised.

Sleeping dogs was a game that went through development hell, and the only reason I bought it after such a big warning sign (look at Duke Nukem Forever), was because I used to love True Crime: Streets of LA. Now this game doesn't seem much like that, but it's okay, as it's own IP, it's fantastic.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition Review

Appreciate the Cantonese (and the swearing; Decent cast of characters; Solid melee combat; adequate gunplay; Visually impressive open world of Hong Kong; Plenty of side tasks and missions; Social Hub; including mission replay

Decent cast of characters; Ending slightly rushed; story is good enough; Few game-freezing glitches; Mahjong poker! Give me real mahjong

This game is not what it once was, when I played this on last gen it was great! refreshing even, to have Hong Kong as my playground, yes it had a few issues but nothing to take you away from the game.

Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition review

United Front Games helped develop this year’s Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, and it’s now turned its attention to its own game: 2012’s Sleeping Dogs. Should it have bothered with the upgrade this time around Matt takes another look.

An absorbing story; Great production values; Solid frame rate; Much-improved fighting and driving mechanics

Some contextual actions are slightly finicky; It's expensive on console if you've already played through
