Skullcandy Dime 3 Review

The $29.99 Skullcandy Dime 3 true wireless earphones are a reasonable value thanks to their punchy bass, effective transparency mode, and handy built-in Tile integration for keeping track of them. They're priced to compete with the company’s own $24.99 Smokin’ Buds, but trade touch controls and AAC codec support for more bass power and ambient listening. If you're willing to spend a bit more, the $49.99 Phiaton BonoBuds Lite have a companion app, an adjustable EQ, and support for AAC, along with better battery life than either Skullcandy model.Limited Codecs and Complex Controls Available in true black or bone (light gray), the Dime 3 earbuds have short stems and sport push-button controls at the top near the skull logos. They ship with three pairs of silicone eartips and I found the fit comfortable and secure. Internally, 6mm dynamic drivers deliver a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. The earbuds are compatible with Bluetooth 5.3 but support only the SBC codec. That's not ...

The affordable Skullcandy Dime 3 true wireless earphones offer boosted bass and a transparent listening mode, but they fall short of competitors on other fronts.
