Seems to be working

Everything seems fine so far and speeds are as expected or better for this budget ssd.

Was cheap; popped out the old 5400rpm drive on my

Noticeably slower than my intel 335 series 240GB ssd that was once installed on this same pc in the past; But that drive was more expensive

Flawlessly for me.

I got this to replace the hdd in a laptop I use sometimes. I've bought SanDisk ssds and Samsung Evo ssds and never had a bad experience with ssds at all. My experience with this one was/is no different.

Pros

Despite another review site mentioning the S55s are now shipping with the Phison S10 controller (which, when included with up-to-date firmware and good MLC, can trade punches with upper-tier SSDs), the one I got in Feb 2016 still uses the S8 controller.

Cheap; MLC NAND based SSD for the price of a TLC SSD

Using older Phison S8 controller (same as Corsair LS and Patriot Blaze)

The Silicon Power Slim S60 performed very good in our tests and easily reached the 550MB/s reading and 500MB/s writing in all the standard benchmarks such...

Phison S10 controller; 19nm MLC NAND; Great performance; Fair pricing; Basic feature set

Slim form factor; but no DevSleep
