It's been over a year since we tested a mechanical hard drive of any kind. The move to SSD storage is going strong and with drives such as the Samsung 840 and Crucial M505 and MX100 drives actually quite affordable, mechanical drives are not as appealing as they used to be.

This hard drive is super easy to use and has a lot of space - spend the money if you need one it is worth it. Both myself and my husband have them. I use mine for school stuff that I do and he uses his for work. We have not had any issues and they can be used with a mac and/or a PC.

Quick and easy to set up. Using as a 2nd backup for my DJ music. I also have a 1TB version from Silicon Power. Never had any issues at all. Worth the extra pennies if you're always on the move.

I purchased this to back up all my pictures off of my mac and some programs. It is extremely fast and durable. I have had no issues with connecting and plugging it between different OS. It's nice that the cord had a holder built right into the drive itself so you don't have to worry about losing it.
