For this high price I expect highest quality from f 2,8 and not middle quality up to f 8 My cheap soligor 3,5-4,5/28-70 is when stopped down to f4,5 much more sharper in the corners on 28mm. Too many plastic elements therein
Pros:
- stopped down a few quite good optical qualities in the center colors and cantrast really ok
Cons:
- the corners are not real sharp in infinity position I testet f 4,5 on 28mm:stong chromatic aberrations in the corners and double contures
- not to use for big posters of architecture without intensive sharpening by photoshop because of these mistakes

Perfect addition for full frame projects
This lens really has the range and sharpness I was looking for with I purchased the Sony A850. I just upgraded to full frame and am very pleased with the results I have been getting shooting landscapes and portraits. Always been a Sigma Lens fan and this is one of the best.
Pros:
- Easily Interchangeable
- Fast / accurate auto-focus
- Strong Construction

Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 IF EX DG HSM
On paper, the Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 IF EX DG HSM ($899 direct) is an appealing alternative to similar full-frame zoom lenses. Available for Sigma, Sony, Pentax, Canon, and Nikon cameras, it's roughly half the price of the Canon, Nikon, and Sony takes on the same design.

Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 IF EX DG HSM
Sigma has quietly been strengthening its professional lens range with new models aimed at full-frame DSLRs. Not only has the company added a number of pro-worthy large-aperture primes but they've also taken the opportunity to revisit the constant-aperture zooms.

Great Lens; but I got it off EhBay
47th street photo was good on the phone; I went directly to them and used their RMA not newegg's. The first time.
Pros:
- Great lens
- at least the one off EhBay
Cons:
- The first Canon I ordered was out of stock
- then I was sent a Pentax 3 times

I am NEVER disappointed with Sigma lenses. NEVER!
I just purchased a D700 and needed this range. I had a Sigma for my D300 but that wasn't full frame. Since I really liked the Sigma on my D300 I decided to go with Sigma again. I was not disappointed.

Could not focus properly with my D7000
The lens felt solid and balanced well with my D7000 but I could not get good results with my D7000. The focus was hit and miss but mainly miss. I contacted Sigma directly after I returned the first lens to Adorama but they weren't much help.
