Some picky things...
I buy Nikon lenses. I'm not a lens snob [yes I am] but I want hardware uniformity so that I can't blame the equipment when there's an issue. There's many small things that immediately stand out as negative to me about the Nikon mount version of this sigma lens. 1.

Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 APO EX DG OS Lens
Sigma has been producing fast tele zoom lenses for hand-held photography since the late 1980s and, although the new 70-200mm f/2.8 APO EX DG OS lens claims to be a second generation model, we estimate it's the sixth in a line that reaches back to the original AF 70-210mm f/2.8, which was designed...

Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM APO
My second Sigma 70-200 F/2.8 and now with OS (Image Stabilized). Sigma made some really important and necessary improvements. I loved the previous version but there were some issues with micro contrast and slight CA. But it was such a tremendous value.
Pros:
- Image Stabilizer
- Fast Aperture
- Comparable quality to Canon and Nikon equivalents
- Quick Release Tripod Ring
- Large Zoom Ring
Cons:
- Noisy IS which takes a second or two to activate
- heavy
- not weather proofed

Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro HSM Review
It's expensive, but not as expensive as similar lenses from the first-party manufacturers. If you want speed, quality and versatility, the chunky Sigma 70-200mm lens is a belter.
Pros:
- Fast constant maximum aperture
- build quality
- AF/MF switching
Cons:
- A focus limiter would be nice
- no macro ratio scale
- no image stabilisation

The Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM is a feature-packed lens with a mid-range price-tag of just £899. With mounts available for Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sigma and Sony cameras, this lens is available for plenty of DSLRs.

Excellent for the price
Since I couldn`t afford Nikon version of 70-200mm, I decided to go with Sigma. I did very extensive research and decided it`s worth the money. It`s been over a month, I took maybe thousand pictures with it. I can say this I`m in love with it. It`s a perfect lens for portrait works.
Pros:
- Price
- Bokeh
- Sharpness
Cons:
- Smooth at 200mm

I purchase this Sigma 70-200mm lens as a replacement for my Canon 70-200mm lens without stabilize capabilities. WOW, what a amazing lens, on my first day of purchasing it I went out to back country National park area,I guess I can call it my lucky lens.

Excellent Build, Excellent Image Quality, great alternative to Canon.
I am a professional wedding photographer, and my Canon 70-200 2.8L IS had pretty much run its course, and I was no longer happy with the image quality. I didn't want to spend over $2000 on a replacement, as I am primarily a prime lens shooter and my 135mm produces images just as sharp as the new...
