Features & performance The lens itself feels solid and well-made, and the autofocus is fast and quiet. On the Nikon D300 that we tested it with, the only slight problem was that many of the focus points fell outside the image area, but you can't blame the lens for that.

A rare and specialist piece of kit

You probably need more money than sense, or be a scientist on a grant to buy this. I am the former. Used on a D300 it gives a staggering globular image that you need to zoom in on with your preferred software to make a useable rectangular image.

What a blast

I have been shooting sport photos for a while now and was looking for something new to spice up the images. I wasn't sure how I could use the fisheye but now I have had a chance to use it... wow. I can get some excellent images from a perspective I have never used before.

nikon 105mm f/2.8 micro lens

Excellent lens, the macro effects are outstanding, this is what I was looking for in a micro lens. I prefer to use MF on macro photography as it gives me more control of the background.

sigma 4.5 Fisheye

Well, it was o.k. but because of the vignetting I found that my autofocus just did not work well at all, the image is very small in the viewfinder too, and so judging manual focus was really difficult. The only thing is to visually inspect the distance by looking at the top of the lens.
