perfect companion for my Sony A7R ii
excellent product does exactly what it says it does, you will have to be aware that this will only work with certain Sigma lenses. build quality is top class. I bought it so that I could use it on my canon mount 150-600mm lens and it works wonderfully, all the Sony A7R ii feature work as with native...

Works fine with my Sigma and Canon L lenses
I use it with Sony A7R-III and Canon 17-40 L, Canon 70-200 f4 IS L, and Sigma 24-105 f4 lenses, and it works fine. This is my workhorse lens. I shoot with a lot of prime lenses and this is actually the only multi-focal lens that I own. Images come out super sharp. I use this more for landscape and architecture shots but I don't think it'll have any trouble doing portraits.

Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM | Art review
For everyday shooting, a standard zoom lens is the go-to optic for most DSLR owners, so it pays to get a good one. The latest own-brand Canon and Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 lenses have equally fast aperture ratings and are built to satisfy the most discerning professional photographers.
Pros:
- Sublime image quality
- Excellent build quality
- Great handling
Cons:
- Large 82mm filter thread
- Typically heavy for an f/2.8 zoom
- Not fully weather-sealed

Well worth getting
After doing my research I an so glad that I got this lens. It is sharp wide open, focus is fast. The depth of field is great also.

Glass is half-full
Nice compact lens...bought this especially for the Grand Canyon trip. Served me well. A bit on the heavy side But with all that glass, it is inevitable. I guess we got to keep doing this until cell phones can surely replace DSLRs.
