Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Art review
The Sigma fares excellently well in the frame centre and on its edge but only at the shorter focal lengths, doing it at the expense of the edges of the frame at 70 mm. It deals well with chromatic aberrations but the spherical variety remains a problem.
Pros:
- Solid casing designed for high rigidity,, Excellent image quality in the frame centre,, Good image quality on the edge of the APS-C,, Lack of problems with longitudinal chromatic aberration,, Sensible coma correction,, Low vignetting on the APS-C/DX,, Silent, quick and accurate autofocus,, Efficient...
Cons:
- Resolution on the edge of the frame at the 70 mm focal length should have been better,, Noticeable problems with spherical aberration,, Weak performance against bright light,, A bit too high astigmatism level,, Significant vignetting on full frame,, Noticeable distortion of moustache style on the...

Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Art Lens Review
It is always exciting to bring in a new Sigma Art lens and covering the normal, most-commonly-used focal length range with an f/2.8 aperture combined with optical stabilization definitely raised the anticipation level for this one.

For many photographers, the most coveted walkabout focal length is 24-70mm, with most major manufacturers offering lenses at this range due to its extreme versatility. While own-brand lenses have often been the go-to for anybody looking for premium quality, Sigma has just released its own 24-70mm...

REVIEW: Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Art Review
The Sigma Art range of lenses aims at the highest level of optical performance. Coupled with the extremely useful 24-70mm range, such a lens offers the potential of a huge step up from the average "kit lens" often supplied in a package with the camera.

One of the best pieces of news professional working photographers have heard in the lens world could be about the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 DG OS HSM Art Lens. Unlike many first party options out there, it has optical stabilization built in which helps a lot at weddings, events, for portraits, etc.

Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG HSM ART OS - Review / Test Report
The Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG HSM ART OS promised many things ... and delivered only a few of them. Let's start with a positive aspect - throughout the zoom range it is darn sharp in the broader image center.

Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Art review
It’s the safest lens you can buy. With the sturdy build and compatibility, you can fit it on whatever model camera you have. Also, crisp picture quality, even at full zoom is a great plus. It delivers a decent bokeh, and it’s great for wide-angle shots. It’s the perfect all-rounder.
Pros:
- The build is sturdy, compact and it balances well, Quick and silent auto focus with an ultrasonic drive system, Excellent auto focus as well as stabilization with smooth Bokeh, Provides remarkable image quality even at the widest aperture, Exceptional build quality, handling, and performance even in...
Cons:
- Extra-large 82mm filter thread, Comparatively heavy for an f/2.8 zoom, Not compatible for extreme whether photography as it’s not weather-sealed

Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG OS HSM Art
The Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG OS HSM Art is, like the competing model from Tamron, an attempt to deliver a wide aperture standard zoom for full-frame SLRs at a reasonable price and with image stabilization. That's beyond ambitious.
Pros:
- Consistent performance through zoom range
- Optical stabilization
- Solid build
- Dust and splash protection
- Available for multiple systems
- Attractive price
Cons:
- Weak edge performance at f/2.8
- Dimmed corners
- Visible chromatic aberration
- Some distortion

Not as good as other ART lenses.
The Sigma 24-70 ARt lens is not a bad lens, but in Sigmas SUPERB Art series line up it simply does not perform as well as other ART series lenses. I own numerous Sigma ART (prime) lenses, and all of them (aside from this one) are absolutely superb.
