Sharp, light, mediocre focus

Very sharp, light. Worked well for me be I removed the baffle and installed it on my Sony a7. The vignette is manageable, the only down side is focus is a bit weird, it searches for objects all the time.

Maybe good for photos, autofocus is unusable for video.

As another poster here mentioned, the continuous autofocus has a shimmer effect on the corners of the image as it continually hunts for focus while shooting video. Using the a6500 with IBIS turned off, it still has issues. Probably fine for photos, but don't get this for video.

Cheap lens. Great results.

I really do like this lens. I use it mainly for night shots With my Sony A6000. The star burst and bokeh you get from it is great. For the money you really need one in your camera bag. Very sharp lens. Fast focusing. No image stabilization. Great results.

The 19mm on a micro four thirds is about 38mm field of view in 35mm terms. Similar to the 35 lens I used on my Leica back in the film days. A great lens for most purposes. This lens focuses close, real close. Works fine and takes great images.

Overall: Greatly pleased with this product.

This sigma lens is great to use in any condition even in the dark. New version of this lens has a part of ring made of aluminum or sort of metalic part that makes whole product quality and appearance even better. I would like to strongly suggest thus item to any of my friend who got sony nex camera.
