Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM (Art) Lens (Canon) - Brand New review
As far as our opinion goes, this lens stands out because of the variety of different needs it can cater to. The f/1.8 aperture is very fast. You can use it to capture images or record videos in places with low-light. Plus, the Hyper-Sonic motor or HSM is silent while it helps you auto focus.
Pros:
- D/1.8 maximum aperture is extremely fast, Works exceptionally well with, Great for capturing images and recording videos, Offers you full-time manual override of the motor, The chromatic aberrations can be controlled by this lens
Cons:
- The overall construction is durable, Offers a maximum aperture of f/5-6.3, A highly portable lens for those on the go, Features a mount that is splash and dust-proof, Coating on the front glass is repellent to water and oil

Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM (Art) Lens (Canon) - Brand New review
When Sigma announced the 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM lens, it made big headlines all over the Internet. Being the first-ever f/1.8 zoom lens, it caught a lot of attention from media and instantly became a success story for Sigma.

Fantastic Lens!
I have a BMPCC 4K camera mounted on a shoulder rig, complete with a matte box and follow focus. My setup is all manual, mostly off a tripod. I also have a GH5 rigged on a gimbal for run and gun.

Got this lens for my canon 80d. I noticed very soon that I was having focusing problems. I was hesitant to attempt to use the dock, so I sent the lens of to sigma together with my camera and they calibrated it for me. It now works really well and I'm very pleased.

This is my second favourite lens to use overall and my favourite lens to use for landscapes. I own a Canon 80D and I love how sharp my photos look. I'm not too technical when it comes to lens specs but as a casual photographer I usually have this and my 24-70 in my bag.

Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM (Art) Lens (Canon) - Brand New review
A few years back we used to *sigh* when a Sigma lens found its way into our labs. However, these days are gone really. Nowadays we are usually wondering in how far Sigma is going to embarrass the competition once more and the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM | A ("Art" Series) was no exception here.

Should have been a 5 star review, but....
This lens was right out of the box and onto my camera. I found the focus to be tack sharp without any tuning and all focal lengths tested. Great color and contrast. Focus was fast and quiet. The constant length, and non-rotating lens is a plus for me.

A Bit of a Journey to Achieve Sharp Focus
The Sigma lens was bought primarily for the fast aperture on a 1.6 crop Canon 80D for my daughter's indoor portrait work. This lens has a chequered history with many articles about the problems with achieving accurate auto focus.
Pros:
- Sharp Focus

The lens has a focal range equivalent to 27mm - 52.5mm in a 35mm format and it can cover the angles of view of multiple fixed focal length lenses. This wide aperture, standard zoom lens enables the photographer to expand creative possibilities on any occasion.

Phenomenal image quality
I don't need to re-state what others have already said. This lens is heavy, big, only a 2x zoom, and produces absolutely phenomenal images. I mount it to my A6500 all the time (with the MC-11 adapter), and it never disappoints. Highly recommended.
