A fine high value zoom lens. Stabilisation was a problem until I used the Sigma dock and put the OS into the Dynamic mode setting - magic, then it's as good as most Canons' IS. I would assess the Sigma 150-600 C OS benefit as 3.5 stops.
Pros:
- Still decently sharp at 600mm (F8-F11) Autofocus works well on 6D Excellently sharp between 150mm to 430mm Really gives the Canon 400mm F5.6 L a run for the money at 400mm
Cons:
- None at price point (A bit soft in the corners at 600mm FF
- but hey its as good as the Canon EF 400mm F5.6 L which has no IS and about costs about the same and better the Tamron 150-600mm at 600mm

Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary
The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary lens offers very similar image quality to the Sports version at a cheaper price, whilst being much lighter and therefore more suitable for hand-holding, although it doens't feature the same level of weather-proofing.

Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Sports Lens Review
If you spend a lot of time photographing wildlife, sports, aircraft in flight (or even UFO's) I'm sure you've longed for a lens with extreme telephoto reach. Sigma now offers a tough, quality 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports lens that can fulfill the wishes of many nature and action shooters.

Great for bird photographers
This is a very popular lens for our bird photographers, although it is not for the faint hearted and you will need to consider a tripod/monopod.

Zoom in on Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM lens
If you are into nature and wildlife photography, you probably need an ultra-telephoto lens to photograph Singapore's smooth-coated otters or common plantain squirrels from afar without disturbing these animals.

Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary
Rented for 4 days from Lensrental.com, $67.91, shot lots of hiking/wildlife/nature/zoo pix, almost all hand-held (on Canon 70D). I'm no bodybuilder but had no problem with weight - when walking the support came from my Kinesis (kgear.com) chest-worn holster, ideal for support and quick-draw action...
Pros:
- Quick focus
- portability
- sharpness
- colors
- stabilizer
Cons:
- Manual focus ring too stiff
- stabilizer drifts off focus point
