Good sound quality, easy to setup, does what it suppose to do, no nonsense phone....I bought the product for home use.

I bought this phone to replace a faulty Fritz!Fon C5 phone which connects to my Fritz!Box 7490 Modem/Router. I have found the Fritz!Fon C5 phones to be quite unreliable. They die after a few years. It takes awhile for this Gigaset A540 phone to register with the modem/router. You have to hold the button down for quite a long time till it registers. But once registered it works well. Only problem, it is not compatible with the Fritz!Box Phone Book, so I cannot get all my phone numbers stored in it.

I purchased the Gigaset phones as I have an EMF sensitivity (electro magnetic field) and they do not put out a continuous wireless signal while on the cradle. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to lessen their exposure to wifi but still maintain the ease of use of cordless phones. They are very easy to use and set up and mine have lasted without issue for over 4 years.

After a very negative experience with Grandstream this VOIP phone is a dream. Worked out of the box perfectly. Bought three. Taking one star off because unlike the Grandstream, there is no USB option to power it. That would have been useful.
