fast delivery and dvd was in great condition. seam update took time but I just let the laptop download and install it for couple of hours. I faced absolutely no problem on windows 8.1....though I had read few reviews saying 8.1 gives problems.

Sid Meier has a long-standing and dedicated following of gamers who know exactly what to expect from his games. In this respect, the fifth installment in the long enduring Civilization series is true to its roots.
An impressive number of civilizations to choose from and a comprehensive tech tree; Great replay value; Respectable amount of customization and scalability options; Multiple ways of dominating the world
No radically different or innovative addition to the series; Taxing on system resources
I love this game. This version includes all DLC and two expansion packs, namely Gods&Kings and Brave New World. Authentication on Steam was smooth. Please note that: this is a region locked game, and you cannot activate it outside of India or gift to someone on Steam whose ip address is outside of...
I'm new to the civ games so I'm not sure if they are all the same but this game has a big problem. You have to give every unit an order before you can end the turn so as you get further into a match on a large map you have to constantly go through every single unit to tell it to do something and...
Some of the Linux users might not know anything about this game, but the news that the latest Civilization title in the series, the fifth one, arrived on Steam for Linux really shook up the open source community.
+ Procedural maps; + Advanced AI; + Extensive research tree; + Multiple ways of winning
- The AI might be cheating on higher difficulties; - The AI support during battles is lacking
"In my opinion this game is very good. I first bought this game when a few friends of mine recommended it to me due to its longevity and extremely fun multiplayer experience. At first I was reluctant to buy this game, seeing as how the base game cost 249 rubles (approximately 7 dollars) and the...
incredibly long longevity; guaranteed hours of fun; impeccable multiplayer
Very hard to learn; not suited for everyone
A good game. Performs as described. I would recommend to friends. I don't have any other comments to make but am filling this in as the system will not accept without 100 characters.
I bought this simply because of the price. Steam has the complete version for 49.99 US download. comes to 56$ Canadian. Only problem is that the game crashes a lot. I had to shut off my antivirus and any other software running in the background to get that to be less frequent.
Bought Civ V on sale a long time ago. Like anyone else who is a fan of the Civ series, I hated it immensely. Vanilla Civ V is so dumbed down and emaciated content wise compared to previous entries in the series, that its like a bad joke.
I don't know how it happened; but this expansion makes Civ V enjoyable
if you're familiar with Civ V's criticism as the game being intentionally released unfinished and selling off what should have been core features later on as DLC; that's exactly what BNW is..
I am a big fan of Sid Meier and turn-base strategy (TBS). This game has good graphics and is great for road trips. Storyline is solid, with good mechanics and solid multiplayer. I do have four warnings, though.
