I love all the Sherlock Holmes games to date and this one is no exception. My only complaint is the near-constant screen-tearing. Wish they would put out a patch to fix the frame rate and then it would be a much better experience.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter is a showpiece of detective work and player choice – elements that speak strongly to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's character and empower you with the belief you are puffing away at the meerschaum calabash.

The Devil's Daughter is the 8th Sherlock Holmes game, the previous entries have been strong but perhaps outdated in their design. Can The Devil's Daughter prove that there's still life left in the series after all?

Sherlock is running through a wintry snow-laden forest and we have no idea why. Frogwares' latest stab at Arthur Conan Doyle's iconic detective starts with masses of potential, drawing you into its narrative from the off, but it's sadly not long before it runs out of steam.

Frogwares are back, and they've brought another Sherlock Holmes game with them. They've already proven their ability to develop decent Holmes games, most recently with Crimes and Punishments.

The Devil's Daughter is a moderately engaging piece of detective fiction which should grip console players looking for an alternative to Telltale's output (the competition is stiffer on PC), but it does seem to rest on some fundamental misapprehensions.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter follows the same formula as previous Sherlock Holmes games. I love this game! I've played all the Sherlock games and to me there's not 1 I don't like. The puzzles are great and the game looks good. This is the kind of game I can play over and over again.
