I was going to buy this item from a local big chain electrics store, until I had asked about how much the replacement filter cost. And they need to be replaced every three months? At $100 that comes to $400 a year in filters. So the first year will set you back $719 exc electric costs. Thats a hell of an ongoing cost Imo. And keep in mind that the big chain store did not keep them in stock. The filters needed to be ordered from Shefield so takes time to arrive. Also there was no surety that they would continue to supply that part in the future. To many unknowns.
